We wanted to design a worthy successor to the Attack – a bike for long days in the saddle, that anyone can jump on, aged 15–85. Generation2 should advance the original theme – fast and light enough to take on an Alpine Gran Fondo and forgiving enough to ride all day. It should respond more rapidly, descend more predictably and soak up more of the road buzz. The Attack G2 does it all, equally well – offering the ideal balance between speed and control, perfectly complementing our road range and echoing the distinctive SwiftCarbon DNA.
The geometry has been tweaked to evolve the ride quality for which SwiftCarbon has become famous. The head tube has been stiffened up to cope with the most vigorous of sprinters, the oversized bottom bracket (BB86) ensures maximum power transfer and the neater cable routing improves the air flow. Flexible yet durable seatstays and a 27.2mm seatpost ensure compliance on rough roads, reducing fatigue. Carbon engineering includes a specially prepared blend of Toray and Mitsubishi-Rayon materials.
