The concept for the Drone started off on the drawing board with the aim to produce a bike that cheats the wind, transfers the rider’s power directly to the road and is easy to ride. As with the Attack road frameset, we made sure we could offer it as an affordable package. The result: a fast bike that anyone can ride, of virtually any level of experience. It also inherits the handling DNA of the Neurogen, and consequently, many owners have converted this versatile machine by adding road handlebars, turning it into a road bike for the off-season.

NACA-profiled aero tubing.

Rear brake shielded from airflow.

PF30 bottom bracket for improved stiffness.

Triathlon/road set-up options.

Fork and headtube design reduces frontal area.

Boris Sirmanoff – With the NACA-profiled aero tubing and hiding the rear brake from the airflow, it’ll slide through the wind quickly, plus the fork design reduces frontal area. We’ve also simplified the lay-up using T700 carbon fibre and a 3K weave to reduce cost, with the benefit of our new generation 3 manufacturing processes to reduce wall thicknesses – all while still retaining torsional stiffness.
