STARTLING ACCELERATION WITH BRAKING TO MATCH

One of our biggest challenges in developing new models is making significant improvements on the existing ones, otherwise why bother! This is especially true when it comes to the Ultravox – how can we make such a highly rated bike even better? Since its launch, we’ve tweaked the carbon layup, lightening it, making it stiffer and tuning the ride quality. But as road disc componentry evolved, one improvement we could add was better braking and wider tyres. Suddenly, the legendary handling just got even better.

“MOST APPARENT ON LONG DESCENTS AND BAD WEATHER, THE UVOX’S HANDLING JUST WENT UP ANOTHER LEVEL.”

Frame
Design

We erred on the conservative side, holding back on the release of our disc road bike. It’s been a contentious topic in the pro peloton, and also when it comes to axle and rotor formats. With no clear industry standard, we opted to let the rider choose between Maxle and Shimano formats with an integrated swappable threaded Thru-axle end cap system (100mm – front, 142mm – rear). The frame allows extra tyre clearance, allowing for a wider variety of rubber (and road surface) options. Best of all, the geometry of the frame will remain largely unchanged from the standard Ultravox.
