The Portugal-based athlete riding for Vito-Feirense-Blackjack won on Frida, sprinting the first stage of the race in the Spanish capital. On Saturday, Edgar Pinto was battling for 13th in the second stage and attacked strong to finish the stage in second place overall. Today, in the final race, held in a circuit in the Paseo La Castellana in the centre of Madrid, Pinto finished the race in fifth position, with the same time as the winner, Spaniard Carlos Barbedo (Movistar), a position that allowed him to recover the first place overall.
